Update

I've been a little busy as I am now working and still doing school, but Matthew and I are doing well. He is working on his six month internship in Santa Ana, about an hour and a half from where we live. He's learning a lot from the optometrist he works with and is practicing his Spanish. He just recently started working with two students from Puerto Rico (Daren and Ann), which is good for him because he isn't the new guy anymore. He leaves for work around 7:30am and has been getting home around 6:00pm. So by the time he get's home all he wants to do is relax. We've also been trying to rearrange our room, as we will be living here for a while after Matthew graduates, till we get settled and find a steady job. It's been nice to be with family, I visit my parents once a week and have a lot of fun things planned while we're here. I hope everyone is doing good, we miss you and wish you the best in all that you do.

Baby Blessing

We attended Rebekah's baby blessing last sunday. She is getting big so fast. It's amazing how fast babies grow. We are enjoying her so much and hold her everytime we get a chance. My mother made her baby blessing dress, it's so cute but if fit her a little big because she didn't have measurements to go by due to the fact that she made it before Rebekah was born, but she still looked so cute in it. Matthew, my brother Elias, both grandfathers, and the ward bishop were in the circle, with her father Alejandro giving the blessing. I was greatful to have been there.

I forgot I had these pictures in my camera, I just had to add them. Rebekah in her baby blessing dress and family.

3 Year Anniversary!!!

Matthew and I had our 3 year anniversary on August 5th. This year was no different than last year, he had to take his National Board Exam on that day and the next, and I spent the day working. It was a little disapointing but I know we have to make sacrifices now so we can enjoy our future later. Nonetheless, my lovely husband did remember our anniversary and brought home this lovely bouquet of flowers. We had a delicious pasta dinner and my mother-in-laws pulled out her lovely china set for us to use. It ended up being a nice evening.
Happy Anniversary Love.

Happy Birthday Matthew!

Matthew turned 29 on the 1st of August. We had a beautiful luau for him and I finally surprised him. It's so hard to because he's so nosy, but he worked all that day and we planned the whole thing while he was gone. He was so surprised when he got home.

We all dressed up in our Hawaiian outfits

Matthew and his birthday cake, I forgot to take a picture of the cake, but I made it. It was an upside down pineapple cake.

His sister Crystal danced while Matthew played the ipu heke (a hawaiian instrument). She's really good, I wish I could dance like her. Happy Birthday Matthew!

Memory Tag

Memories!!!
Here is a fun little game... Leave a comment on my blog of a memory that you and I have had together. It doesn't matter if you've known me for a short time, or a long time, anything you remember! Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. On your mark...get set...blog your memories!! *Even if you don't have a blog, it would still be fun to hear about a memory you and I have had together!*

Dance Festival

All the stakes in Riverside County had a dance festival to bring a positive image on the LDS Church. The public was invited. The event was held at Redlands University Stadium. The dances were put together by the youth of the church after practing for months in advance. Matthew and I arrived just on time to attend the event. The prophet's daughter was there the night we didn't go, but either way, the whole thing was phenomenal.

This is all the youth in all of Riverside. My camera couldn't span the entire field but there were hundreds of youth there.

The laurels/priests, miamaids/teachers, beehives/deacons all had a different theme and danced to various songs. It was so much fun.

These pictures don't do it justice, but it was so awesome. It was hard to get a picture of everyone because the field was so big. These were other performances.

At the end we had missionaries from all over run out with a flag representing each state and we had fireworks. I will never forget this event.
Here's a little video of one of the dances.
