Uzziah at 8.5 months

Uzziah is 8.5 months and busy as a bee. He crawls, stands while holding onto furniture, claps, bites everything, and loves to laugh and have fun. It amazes me how much he can do at such a young age. He even plays hide and seek in his walker. I'll hide behind our center island in the kitchen and he'll run around looking for me and cracks up everytime he finds me. He is such a nut. I absolutely adore him and so happy to be his mother.

My first official Mother's Day

This was my first official mother's day. I made chocolate covered strawberries and chocolate filled strawberries for mother's day this year. They were delish I probably had about five of them. They are so addicting. We got flowers and my brother-in-law made all the mommies a beautiful orchid corsage. It was a very special first mother's day.

Everyone enjoying those yummy chocolate covered strawberries and good food.

All the moms, what a special privilege. I am so grateful to finally be a mom.

A Wonderful Surprise

A few weeks ago we woke up went downstairs to have breakfast and we saw this right past our back yard. It was so close no more than a mile away. I've always wanted to go on a hot air ballon. We could clearly see the people inside the basket and waived goodbye as they floated higher into the sky.

A Fun Day at the Park

We've been going to the park a lot lately. Uzziah loves to just be outdoors, he's definitely a virgo just like his mamma. He's always looking up at the sky and the trees and he gets so excited when he sees another dog or any other animal around. I put him on the swing with me but he wasn't liking it very muchNaomi on the other hand loving the swing.

Since the swing was no fun we enjoyed a little shade under a nice tree. I couldn't get him to stop wanting to eat the grass though. He's such a handful but I love it.

Uzziah's first Easter

This was easter morning before church opening up his easter basket. He got lots of fun stuff like bubbles, books, a summer outfit, toys, and of course candy. We spent easter at one of Matthew's aunts ranch. She has a beautiful home and lots of room to run around and find easter eggs. She has horses and lots of cool stuff around her ranch. Like these bird houses and cool looking iguana made out of metal and painted rocks. We had a super duper fun time.

Bath Time

Uzziah loves bath time, he loves water no matter where it is or where it comes from. We were at a pool party last week and I put him in the pool for the first time this summer. He was so excited he was screaming and kicking his legs like crazy. Hopefully swimming will come easy for him.

Out for the Season

Matthew came home last month with his foot looking worse than this. He plays basketball on Wednesdays and unfortunately some of the players are a little uncoordinated, one of the guys stood right under Matthew as he was coming down, Matthew landed on his foot and twisted his ankle. He was in so much pain, we thought he had broke it but fortunately it was only a twisted ankle.

My Third Haircut

...and I'm only seven months. Everyone told me my baby's hair was going to fall out, so I've been dreading and waiting for it to happen, but it never did. It's actually gotten longer and thicker. It looks like he will have Matthew's hair genes thank goodness.
