Pumpkin Patch 2013

My favorite time of the year has come!!! Holidays are around the corner, the weather is starting to get chilly, the leaves are changing color, and the feeling of cozy, warm homes fills the air. Not to mention the decorating, I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE to decorate. We finally went to my favorite pumpkin patch in town, this was actually our second and final time so I made sure to take some pictures. We came with some of my family. I think the reason why I love this pumpkin patch so much is because it's a legitimate farm. No crazy blow-up jumpers and ridiculously loud music everywhere. Nonetheless, you still have your petting zoo, corn maze, pony rides, train ride, and even some pig races. You can't get at any pumpkin patch.

Sacramento Trip 2013

My mom visits her sister in Sacramento once a year and invited Matthew and I to go with her this time around. I'm so glad we did because we had such a good time. My aunt and her family were so welcoming, and so hospitable. One of my cousins took us for a drive and we were able to visit the sacramento dam that holds part of the sacramento river. We also got to see hundreds of crop fields, which is what sacramento is known for. In fact, some of my cousins work harvesting walnuts and almonds for a living. This was my first time seeing both a walnut and almond tree. They were so generous and gave us a full sack of them to take home with us. They are the best tasting walnuts and almonds I've ever tasted. Hopefully we can go back and visit next year. This was a fruit and vegetable garden close to the walnut farm, Uzziah was picking green tomatoes. He also found a small watermelon, he was so excited.
