San Francisco Trip

So most of this happened clear back in August and September, but I really, really needed to update my blog and I want to have these memmories forever. My family and I went up to San Francisco for Matthew's birthday, it was my very first time visiting and I fell in love. It has an upscale feel that just makes you want to stay forever. I loved all the architecture, shops, the bridge (of course), and all the beautiful scenery the city has to offer. We took the entire Pacific Coast Highway to get there, on our way we saw this rock that looked like an iguana, it reminded me of Puerto Rico. Also on our way, we stopped in Solvang, a cute little Dutch town that has the best pastries ever. We ate at a restaurant called The Little Mermaid, picked up some pastries, and headed back on our way.
When we arrived at our hotel, it was pretty late so we rested and woke up early the next morning to see the Golden Gate Bridge! On our way we passed by Alcatraz, freaky. The bridge was so beautiful, it was smaller than I expected but it was awesome.
On the other side of the Golden Gate Bridge lies the most picturesque little town called Sausalito. The main street is lined with beautiful little shops that runs througout the city.

The following day we had lunch at the Fisherman's Warf. We had clam chowder in bread bowls at a restarant right on the harbor.Check out this Alligator made out of bread, they had all these different animal shaped breads.
We never rode on a trolley but I had to get a picture of one, they're all over San Francisco. The streets in this city are incredibly steep. More than once we thought we were going to hit the car behind us. I don't know how anyone can drive a stick shift here.We also visited the Oakland temple, since it was so close by. I never knew how beautiful this temple was. Definitely one of my top five.
We spent our final day at China Town, and of course, had chinese food. We got really lucky because as we were walking down the streets a group of dancers were coming down the streets with these beatuiful Fu Dogs and they stopped right in front of us to perform.

Finally, we went to a museum, it's called the Palace of Fine Arts, we arrived a little late so they had already closed, BUT, the ouside was just as good. It was photographer's paradise. I couldn't stop taking pictures of this place. Sooooo sooooo beautiful.

It was an awesome trip, we really enjoyed ourselves.
