Baby Uzziah's Nursery

It's been done for a while I just haven't had the time or energy to post these pictures. I feel so bad for my poor blog. I hope you all enjoy. I loooove the way it turned out. Matthew picked out the theme, he's always loved Dr. Seuss characters and books. In case you are all wondering I am on my 31 week today. The pregnancy is still good, but it's really starting to way down on me. This baby is a squirmy little guy. Some of you know, but I got gestational diabetes. Normal blood sugar is 70-130 and I was at 226 when tested. Yeah it was pretty bad, however, eating sweets isn't the problem with gestational diabetes, it's the hormones in your body while pregant that can increase your blood sugar. And depending on the person, the hormones can react differently to certain foods. I'm not even a big sweets person, but I had to cut all and any out of my diet. Exercising has been helping as well. My sugar is totally under control now. I've been within range for 2 weeks now and feel healthier than ever actually. Ok so here is the nursery. Enjoy!

2010 Kaplan Graduation

I finally finished school April 23. I had my graduation May 19th at the Riverside Municipal Auditorium. I had a great time and was able to graduate with presidential high honors. My goal was to finish with a 4.0 and I did it, all while pregnant. I am so greatful for such a supportive husband and family, I couldn't have done it without them. These are a few pictures from the big day.

Random belly shots

Taking a little break at Disneyland. The first time I went while pregnant I was only in my first trimester and I couldn't even take 10 steps before getting really tired, so we rented a wheelchair and my poor Matthew pushed me the whole day. But luckily I regained my energy during my second trimester and I was able to go the whole day without a wheelchair, but took many breaks.

Getting ready to go to church.

My sister lili took this picture of me at the park, for my little nephew Elijah's birthday.

6 month belly shot

I can't believe how fast this pregnancy is going. I am so excited to meet my little guy. He moves around so much, such a squirmy little guy, in fact he's moving around right now. I always imagined what that would feel like, but now that I've experienced it, the experience is a million times more special.

5 month belly shot

So the last post was a three-month belly shot, and this is a five month belly shot. I can't believe how much it's grown. This pregnancy is flying by.I also wanted to give you all an update on Matthew. He is working full time at an Ophthamology/Optometry company called California Eye Professionals. He loves what he does and enjoys the people he works with. He started working in January of this year, prior to that he was filling in for a few places around the area. We were so blessed to find this place because it is literally 7 minutes down our street. The doctors he works with are super cool and the entire staff is just so sweet. I was able to do my intership with them and they treated me so nice. I finally got done with school and intership on April 23rd and now I'm just waiting to walk on May 19 at my graduation. Things have been going great, I love my life and my family, I couldn't have been more blessed.

It's a Boy!!!!!!!!

Yes, it's a boy. We are beyond excited, it's what Matthew and I wanted since before we got pregnant. I just can't wait to hold that little baby in my arms. My pregnancy is still going surprisingly great. I love being pregnant. I have my energy back and trying to get everything ready for baby. We've decided the theme for his room is going to be Dr. Seuss. Matthew and my father-in-law are still working on painting the room. I was surprised we were able to find bedding with dr. seuss characters, but we did. Things are coming together little by little but life is just awesome. I can't wait to celebrate mother's day for the first time. I am so greatful for the wonderful gift of being a mother.
These are just a few pictures we've taken since my pregnancy. I really need to be taking more pictures. I way bigger now since this picture.

The Peanut

These are the ultrasounds I've had so far. This first one was at 7 weeks, just a teeny little blob. I love my blob.
This second one was at 12 weeks, what you see is the back of the fetus, the head to the right.
And this last one is at 14 weeks. I couldn't believe how well you could see the baby's profile here.I still feel pretty good. I've been getting a few headaches here and there, but I'm really enjoying my pregnancy. I hope it's like this with all my pregnancies...haha, wishful thinking huh? We'll see.

Update like you wouldn't believe

Yes, definitely time for an update, but the thought of blogging makes me so lazy. Pregnancy is seriously a shock, but I want to officially announce that I am PREGNANT. Finally...Matthew and I are going to have a little baby, not sure what yet. We are beyond excited. I'm due in September. Around the 16th. It's been a crazy shock, but I'm finally starting to believe it. I've had no morning sickness yet, but I've been so unbelievably tired. I do one chore and I have to rest for at least ten minutes. My tummy feels so heavy and swollen, I feel like I can't stand up straight. But I feel overjoyed with the news. I hope all is well with everyone. I'll try my best to keep you all posted and updated. Love you all, miss you all.

A Dream Come True

Matthew has always dreamed of having a VW bus. Out of all the cars in the world, he's always wanted a bus. Well, a few months ago he started doing some research and found the perfect one. It was in good condition, the owner was close by, and the price was fair. Well, about 3 weeks ago he finally bought it and picked up to drive it home. This is the guy we bought it from, we became good buddies with him. He and his famliy are such nice people. It was a bitter/sweet moment for him as well. It pained him a little to see the bus go. We told him we'd take good care of it. We plan on never selling it, and want to add a few things here and there. But overall it is in great condition.
We are all excited, it is such a fun car. I think the only downfall is the fact that I have to learn how to drive it now. I'm really not looking forward to that because it's a stickshift.

Thanksgiving 2009

I love family reunions, it felt so nice to be in the same house with all of my siblings. I feel so sad somtimes that I can't have them all near by. We had a really good time this Thanksgiving, we spent it at my parent's house and just enjoyed eachother's presence. We were able to see my sister Melina and her husband Dave, who came down from Idaho. I hadn't seen her in about a year.Matthew and I after dinner, I wasn't feeling very well, we actually all got the stomach flu, but fortunately I was able to get some of my appetite back to enjoy a little turkey.
My niece Rebekah chowin' down on some hamVictoria, so photogenicThe five siblings, Elias, Iliana, Alma, me, and Melina. I'm so grateful that we are all so close. I love them so much.
