Nana's 60th Birthday

My sweet mother-in-law turned 60 this year and looks better than ever. She is such a wonderful person, I'm so grateful to have her in my life. I have learned so much from her. We had a black and white themed party to celebrate her birthday. It was a success, we ate delicious food, had great company, and danced the night away wth music from the 60's and 70's.

Uzziah's 2nd Birthday

This is a little late but Uzziah turned two Sep 12th. We celebrated by going to Sea World, he had a blast and absolutely looooves animals. His favorite were the sea turtles, he kept wanting to go back to that aquarium exhibit.

Then a few days later we had cake and icecream with the rest of the family. Uzziah is such a talker and wants to do everything by himself. He is currently potty training and is doing very well, one day he decided he wanted to go in the toilet, it made my whole year!!! I'm so proud of him. His encouragement to keep going have been monster truck toys. He loves them and wants to play monster trucks all day long. His favorite show is Modern Marvels: Monster Trucks from Netflix he watches that at least once a day. He's such a sweet boy. Happy Birthday Ziah!

Sofia is laughing out loud now, she loves to babble, scream and slobber all over anything in front of her. She is such a happy and easy going baby, we love her so much.

Mission Inn Light Festival

We have a really fancy hotel near our town that was originally a mission, which gets lit up every year for Christmas. They call it the Mission Inn Light festival. It's beautiful to see and entertaining too because it is in the middle of town where shops, food stands, and restaraunts surround it. We had a good time walking around and filling our tummies with sweet roasted almonds and hot chocolate. They also had an ice skating ring and reindeer. The kids really enjoyed that except were dissapointed when they were told it wasn't a petting zoo. Boohoo. Uzziah was ready to go in and pet that reindeer, I guess they're a little more aggressive than your regular goat or sheep right? This is my favorite time of the year, I'm already feeling that christmas spirit and want to serve and help wherever I can. Uzziah decided to donate his gently used toys to kids that might not have as many as he. My parents will be going to Mexico this Christmas and will be taking the toys to children there. We are excited to clean them, wrap them, and send them away.
