Just in Time

We had a babyshower for my sister Alma. She was supposed to be induced on the 15th of February, but her water broke during church on the 13th. The worst part was that her daughter Victoria was assigned to give the scripture and closing prayer in primary. Her husbad assisted her and said it was the longest two minutes of his life. He called me soon after because I was supposed to be in the delivery. She lives about an hour and a half away from me, so Matthew and I rushed to the hospital. She had that baby in three pushes. We arrived just in time. It was such a beautiful experience. I had the opportunity to be in her first delivery as well, with the same doctor. This is her third girl. Anyway here are pictures of the babyshower, we had a tea party. My sister in-law Crystal made this beautiful diaper cakeI was so proud of my cupcakes, I've never made them so fancy before. This picture makes her belly look so small, but it was pretty big.Victoria excited for another baby sister. Her other daughter, Rebekahand the shower gifts

Uzziah took part in this too...and the shower games

My first Valentine's Day

Uzziah got a Valentine's Day card from grandpa Ron, he loved it so much he wanted to eat it. I was trying to read what the card said and he snatched it from me so he can gnaw on it. I guess that was his way of saying "thank you grandpa!." The card read "Grandson, Happy 1st Valentine's Day"

Grandpa Del

Last Sunday we went to Grandpa Del's grave site to dedicate the grave. We were unable to perform the ordinace during the funeral because we had a lot of non-member family there; they also don't allow big groups of people to be at the grave site at once. So it was a small group which made it more intimate, Matthew performed the ordinace and we all got to see his tombstone.

My father-in-law and his brother, granpa is their father.I love this picture, I wish I would have gotten the whole group in there.
And I love this one too of Uzziah and daddy

Maybe Next Time

Uzziah is five months now and I thought I would try to feed him rice cereal with a spoon. I've been putting it in his bottles and he's been doing pretty good with it, so I thought he might be ready to eat from a spoon. As soon as I put the food in his mouth he spit it right out, then he started rubbing it all over his face, I think he even got some on his ear. He might do better at six months, we'll see. I'm in no hurry, I just thought I would give it a shot. But he is at the point where he wants everything in his mouth, and I think he's teething because he gnaws on his and my finger like it's candy.

A New Tradition

My family started a new tradition of getting together and doing family home evening with all my siblings and their kids once a month at our parent's house. We've been getting together every first friday, the only day that works for all of us. I'm glad we've all taken the time to get together because it can be so hard to see eachother during the week. There are five of us and we all live pretty close by except our youngest, who lives in Idaho. During these reunions we all bring a small snack to share and take turns giving the lesson. I'm so grateful for my family, I can't believe how fast it is growing. My sister Alma just had her third baby girl (Sabrina Luz) last Sunday, the 13th of Feb. And during this reunion we found out that our youngest sister Melina is pregnant!!! That'll be the sixth grand child. I hope she'll be able to live close to home when her and her husband are done with school.
In this picture I had to strap Uzziah on me because he didn't want to sit or lay down. I take him on walks like this as well. He wants to see the world. My sister in law April and ElijahMy father and a close friend of the family. My crazy brother Elias, April is his wifeElijah again, it looks like his legs are missing.Matthew, Uzziah, and Victoria. Until We Meet Again...

Matthew's grandfather Delfin Lucino Ulibarri past away December 27, 2010. We attended his funeral January 17, 2011. I will always remember what a sweet person he was. I'm glad he was able to meet Uzziah before he passed away. He was on dialysis for quite some time and died of kidney failure. Granpa Del we will miss you, but we know we will see you again.

His wife, Grandma Conda
Granpa served as a marine, at the funeral we had a Military Procession and Flag presentation. It was a beautiful ceremony.

It turned out to be a very hot day, I had to strip Uzziah down to almost nothing. He was sweating so bad poor thing. I had him in black pants, long sleeve collar shirt and a sweater vest.
This is Matthew with grandpa Del when he was around Uzziah's ageWe were able to get a four generation shot with grandpa, dad, Matthew and Uzziah
