Halloween Party

Yesterday, we finally had our Halloween party. Here's our costumes

I danced all night and ate so much candy. Matthew was our DJ, he's become such a pro since doing all those youth dances. We had so much fun that we forgot about the pumpkin carving contest, but according to uncle Steve we had a tie between Elias', my brother, and my pumkin. I'll take that. LOL, I'm so competitive. Here's a picture of mine:

We made this awesome haunted tree in the middle of the island, I just love how it turned out.

We had all sorts of treats, you can see why I had so much of it.

Pumpkin Patch

We're having a Halloween Potluck Party the 25th and asking people to bring a carved pumpkin for our carved pumpkin contest. This is the little flyer I made.So we picked up our pumpkins at a local pumpkin patch called Tom's Farms. We had our neices with us and they had a great time. OK, I didn't realize how big of a deal pumpkin patches were now a days. They had rides, a petting zoo, jumpers, a lot of good food, and they even had pony rides. It was like an amusement park.

Anyway, I picked a really good pumpkin for Matthew to carve and enter into the contest. I'm such a perfectionist...it had to be flawless and perfectly round. I have a feeling we're gonna win!

Happy Fall

Last Sunday we decorated to get ready for Halloween and Thanksgiving. I love decorating, it's therapeutic for me. Autumn is definitely my favorite season, I love the colors that the weather brings to the trees and the temperature is perfect...not too cold or too hot. I'm so excited to be here at this time. This is the first time Matthew and I have spent Halloween and Thanksgiving with the family as a married couple.

Little Rebekah

Sofia this is for you. I wanted to show you how much Alma's baby has grown. She is the cutest little thing, I just love her. She is starting to laugh already and it is the cutest thing to watch. She loves to eat...can you tell? I wish she would stay this age forever.

I'm gonna be an auntie...again!

We just found out two days ago that My brother Elias and his wife April are expecting. I'm so excited for them. They're hoping it's a boy, just like me they want that boy first. We'll see. Congratulations you two!!!

~Scruffy~

Matthew and I were asked to watch our Bishop's puppy over the weekend. He is such a good little dog, very loving and energetic. We had a lot of fun with him. Matthew used to like cats but Scruffy transformed him into a dog lover. I told him we can have a one as long as I won't have to do anything...but I doubt that'll happen. It's like having another child.

Kickball Madness

Our ward had a Kickball game last week. It was a battle between "The Kickball Destroyers" and "Yo Mama". Of course the ladies won, go yo mamas! LOL. It was a great turnout, we have about 300 people in our ward so the benches were full. We had hotdogs and a bunch of other goodies. We ended the night with a movie projected on a huge screen out in the park. I love activities like this, it helps everyone get to know eachother.

Here's my father-in-law being referee.

Time for a Little Change

Matthew and I remodeled our room a few weeks ago. We needed more closet space so we bought new armoires from IKEA and a new bed to match our bedroom set. It took a lot of hard work and frustration to put them together but it was well worth it. I love how it all came out. It gives our room a fresh new look. The mattress is a temperpedic. It is the best investment I've ever made. I haven't woken with a sore back ever since we got it. It makes up for the horrible mattress we have in Puerto Rico. I swear I'm gonna burn that mattress when we're done with it. It sinks in the middle making a bowl shape so I feel like I'm sleeping on a hill. I could never get a good night's rest when I sleep in it. Thank goodness for temperpedics, they are the best.
